Come and Try BMX Racing for Free BMX Racing is suitable for girls and boys, mums and dads, from under 5 years to over 50. You can use any 20" or 24" BMX bike in good condition. You can even try out with some mountain bikes. For safety your bike should have padding to cover the top tube, headset and handlebar crossbar and back brakes that work. You should also remove all stands, mirrors, freestyle pegs which might cause injury. You will need to wear a helmet, gloves, long pants, long sleeves and shoes and socks.
BMX racing is bicycle racing on a track about 400 metres long. BMX racing is not jumping, trick or stunt riding. BMX racing is an excellent way for riders to develop their bike riding skills.
The Canberra BMX Club is on Copland Drive Melba near the corner of Copland and Ginninderra Drives. The Tuggeranong BMX Club is on Sulwood Drive Kambah behind the Kambah Fire Station.
